Door Panel Seperation Possible?

I know someone did it before for some type of custom install. I am looking to try and replace just the top part of my driver door panel. Some custom work done on bottom half and would like to keep to avoid going through the work again. Anyone know of a way to seperate the top and bottom? If its even possible...

Thanks in advance. I tried searching, seen a lot of discussions about door panels (pertaining to removal) but nothing about seperation.
