5.5 gen vs 6 gen clutch feeling

My 2k3 clutch doesnt feel like my friends 2k6.. I have to let up alot further on the clutch to engage than he does in his max. and it feels softer than his. are the 5.5 gen clutches supposed to feel like that?

yes they are .. clutches feel different to different cars. i have to lift up pretty high for my maxima, i drove an xterra 5 speed once and the damn friction point was almost at the ground ..

probably couldve researched this by the way .. most people on the forums will flame you if you ask a common question without searching fyi ..

Hehe... yeah, it took me a while to get used to the engagement on the 5.5. My 4th gen engaged pretty low and the pedal did not go as deep. It was nice and sporty. I got used to the pedal on my 2k3 eventually though and now I don't have a problem with it.

You can adjust it, but I hear it's tricky stuff and if you don't do it right, you could have problems (premature clutch wear, etc)... like Sooner said, it would probably be better to just live with it.
