2002 SE Acceleration Time...

Well, sorta...the Infinity Q35 was reviewed in the new Car and Driver with the Automatic...0-60 in 6.9. 1/4 Mile in 15.2/92mph. Car is basically the same, so these times should be accurate.

Sounds like previous 5-speed times for the '01.

Well the Max is lighter so I would think a 6.7 sec to 60mph. I got my 02 Se to 60 in 6.78 sec with 1,200 miles on it not fully broken in.

I was checking out Motor Trend's site, and they had numbers on the 2000 Maxima SE. 0-60 was in 6.7 seconds. And that was with the older 3.0L V6 that put out 222HP. The new 3.5L V6 puts out 255HP. I also checked the curb weights of the two years, and they were basically the same. This leads me to believe that the 2002's times would be even better.

It sounds pretty close because there is a guy here in AZ with a 02' and I was at the track with him 2 weeks ago and his Automatic went like 15.2 @ 90 mph.

Also in the same issue they tested the 3.5 altima auto and it did 0-60mph 7.3 sec with a 15.6/91 mph. So that proves that the 02 auto Max is slightly quicker than the 02 Altima 3.5. It should test even quicker than the 6.9 posted by the 02 I35 (weight difference), I can get my 02 auto to 60 in 6.78 with 1,300 miles on the clock.
