Just bought 00 max!

well as the title states, We (well my sis paid for it, its hers) just got a 2000 max. It is our 8th maxima, we currently have 3. Anyway, It has 122k and cost $5,700. It is a white gxe in really good condition minus a small dent on the passenger side fender and scratches on the rear bumper. Also the oil sensor is leaking that in the lower oil pain(not really leaking, kind of just wet around the area, no dripping) and the passenger axle input seal on tranny is wet but not dripping. Drives great!

Did we get a decent deal?

What do I need to know, look for in terms of things going wrong in the future with this car. Its our first 5th gen.

Thanks,

Matt

Congrats!

$5.7k aint too bad.

Not sure what to tell you about what to look for, because my '01 has not had a single thing go wrong with her.... (knock on wood) and I got 84k miles.

my 00 GLE

Knock on wood, but my car has been great so far. I bought it just under 2 years ago and payed 14, 500 but it was a loaded GLE.
Purchased with 64k, now have 89k. I changed brakes, tires and rotors to get the ride smoother and better braking. I did this a couple days after purchase and been blowing $ on mods ever since.

Best VQ ever made, IMO. Just watch for bad coils and MAF failure.

Good deal cause here in Montreal (canada, quebec), it cost a lot more than that for a great looking car...
