Hmm....I think they are slightly different. Best way to find out is call the local dealer and ask for the part numbers on both. Part #'s for the caliiper and the rotor. If they are the same then yes, if they are different then no.

The definitive answer, since I've actually done the swap on my car:
1. 2002-2003 rotors are larger diameter than 2000-2001 by about 6/10ths inch.
2. The caliper brackets (the part that bolts on to the knuckle and holds the pads) are different from 5gen to 5.5gen. They do not interchange. The 5.5gen pieces hold the pads farther out from the center of the rotor.
3. The pads and calipers DO interchange. No discernable difference. This is just the hydraulic part of the caliper, not the brackets.
It is a small upgrade to go from 5gen to 5.5gen front brakes, since you get a bit larger rotor. It would be a downgrade to go the other way.
