Does SES light reset with #of turns of key

Someone at my office suggested the SES light might reset per so many turns of the key. Does anyone know if this is true with the Max?

Huh, Interesting. You wouldn't have the information regarding which codes would you?

Um, figure out what the code is before you go erasing important information needed for your car to keep it running like a champ. Maybe I just enjoy a proper running car.

Flatcat, like you I like a decent running car too and have always kept my properly maintained. The code is a p0420 (I have another post for this) and I'm at the point with the car (143k miles) that I don't think I want to continue to invest more money into the exhaust(see other post for details). Nissan's exhaust (with o2 sensors) are extremely expensive to maintain.

Or you can try the remove the battery cable for a few mins, and pumping the brakes 3 times.. Did that and my light goes off everytime....

You do realize that you won't be able to just go to your inspection station right after disconnecting the battery and pass, right?

Assuming you mean an emissions inspection, and not safety.

And what a pointless bump to 10 month old thread...
