replacement muffler

i want to buy a new muffler because my whole exhaust is pretty old and most parts are on their way out (cats etc).

i dont want a ricey loud muffler, just a sort of deep growl. my ideal sound would be the grumble from pretty much all infinities, especially the g35/37.

remember NOT RICEY, only a deep refined sound.

Are these getting hard to find? Some of those exhaust systems sound really , no offense, just not my preference...

Yea I had a tough time finding mine it took me a month to get it but it was shipped from megan not SCW so shipping took a little over a week. And no it doesn't sound or just deep and sexy. There is a clip on youtube but it sounds much better on the road reving the engine does it no justice at all.

They're the same only the AE, I30, and I35 have different mufflers and those are the turned tips which are good for 5 hp extra!

You might be able to find a complete stock exhaust in the classifieds here. Otherwise, I'd recommend a turbo style muffler. Better flow that stock, a deeper tone at idle and quiet when driving around. I had a Vortec turbo muffler on my Accord and even at full throttle, the AEM cold air intake was louder. Very quiet at freeway speeds too.

This is from a Titan forum: http://www.titantalk.com/forums/tita...l-exhaust.html

I really like the Vortecs. This is the third truck/SUV we've used them on. They are the quietest of performance mufflers we've found so far.
Walker Quiet Flows are really quiet, not much louder than stock. I think the Vortecs may slightly outflow the Walkers though.

If just muffler, why not get a Flowmaster? Plenty of sound clips in the exhaust sound sticky.....

good luck getting an OE-RS. I gave up after waiting over a month for one. But not all is lost, ordered matching xenon headlights and fogs with my refunded money. woohoo. Now I am in the same boat. looking for a slightly louder than stock muff for my 01. I think the stocker sounds great with my Stealin WAI but want a little more volume.
