Steering Wheel Loose

Hey guys there I have an annoying problem with my 2002 Maxima's steering wheel. It seems that the locking mechanism for the adjustable steering wheel doesn't fully lock and the steering wheel is loose. It doesn't move up and down all the way like if you were to pull down on the lever but when the lever is up (locked) it jiggles slightly, maybe an inch up and down. I'm not sure if there are screws I could tighten to fix this or what is the problem. Any ideas???

Well, there is a spring located within the lever unit doo hickie, and a adjustment bolt on the other side of that closest to the steering column. You may have to pull of your column bezels and take a look. I've never had to mess with it, so I can't provide much help beside that.
