change tip on exhaust system
Sup people,
A while back I recall someone on the org changing their stock chrome tip cover to two chrome tips that they bought at Pep Boys. I don't know very much about cars and I was looking to change the stock cover on my Max. Is there a "write up" or "how to" thread or web page that I can check out? Thanks

It was me....
The stock chrome tip I had to tear apart with some sheers. Went to Pep Boys and got some tip extenders and screwed them on. I dont have a pic yet but its pretty easy to do just wear some protective gloves so you dont accidently cut yourself ...

it should be simple. There is a screw on the bottom of the exhaust finisher that is originally on there. Take that off and then pull the finisher off. It may take a little force to get it off.... but it should come off. After that, stick on the tips you want, screw them in, and done

I went to a local muffler shop and they torched them off right at the muffler. Then added 2 tips (2 1/2 inch each) welded straight to the muffler. Got rid of the ugly Infiniti and Anniversary Model tips. Good Luck.......and Desert? gave the the idea over a year prior. Cost was 50.00

it won't affect your warranty but who knows with some nissan service managers they might give you flack about it. if they refuse service for exhaust tips though ... go to another dealer and call Nissan NA over that.

It was a piece of cake putting it on. I know a friend of mine that races Nissan Trucks that also owns a body shop and he liked my ride so much he painted it and installed it for free....well, I kinda helped too
