Strut Mount Assembly Question

So im coming off of d2 coilovers and now i wish to put in a setup in my car, which would include regular springs and struts.

However when i sold my old setup i did not care to take off the top strut assemblies, because i had coilovers and they were all made into one piece by d2.

So now i have new suspension, just no top caps.

Ive been calling everywhere no one sells them, all they sell is the mount itself. I need everything at the tops, including the threads also.

So my basic questions are;

Anyone know if a 4th gen maxima strut mount assemblies would wid a 5th gen. (not the whole strut, but just the top mounts).

Also if not, where can i get the top mounts, anyone have a part out. i Called almost every aftermarket japanese spot in Toronto. Even the junkyard dont currently have any 5th gens lying around.

Thanks in Advance

The mount is part of the top that houses everything. You need the top hat and the strut bearings, possible a dust boot to cover the shocks. The top hat comes with the threads attached. Unless you are referring to the center threaded stud which is part of the shock itself.

No the 4th and 5th gen are different from each other! They will fit however but the 5/5.5 Gen's strut mount has a long like bushing on the bottom, where the strut rod goes thru! Go to the junk yard to get the upper strut perchs, the strut mount can be bought online @ Courtesy or ABC Nissan, or your local autopart store that cares KYB products!

Personally I am a little weary of the KYB mounts. On my '99, i replaced the stock mounts with KYB's and they both started binding within a few days. It continued until I replaced them with nissan mounts. I would personally stick with the Nissan mounts.

When you get front mount kits, it only comes with the black strut mount top piece, unless u can get a used top mount with the studs, youll need to hit up the dealer. Shouldnt be too pricey.
