bearings wearing out, is this common on maximas and at what mils does it happen

the bearings on both side on my 01 max is worn out both front is this a common problem my car has 138k miles and i also have a 1998 max with 253k miles on it and it never had any serious problem like my 01 at all. so is this a common problem on this car did it happen to you and at what point did it happen

My passenger is done for, I have about 150,XXX+ miles . Will be doing both Left and Right side ASAP !

i'm havin the same problem and i nkow its a common aproblem. but my car has a very loud Humming noise? so i think i should replace the hub not just the bearing right???

and where is the best place to get hub assembly from??

You can replace the wheel bearing only as long as the hub isn't damaged. Wheel bearings seem to be a common issue with 5th gens. I had one bearing go out soon after I bought the car. The brakes had been done just before I bought the car and it appears when they serviced the bearings (repacked them), they did not adequately retighten the lock nut to the required 240 lb-ft of torque. The nuts backed off and it ate the driver's side bearing. The left side hadn't backed off nearly enough so that one was okay.

If you want the same exact bearing that Nissan carries go to NAPA and save some bearing...
