I tried with 2x of Raam BXT and 1x of eDead Teklite in the trunk, doesn't help did remove the occasional rattle though!

You could try some exhaust wrap. After you apply it and it dries spray it with high temp paint to seal in the pores of the wrap to not let moisture in. If you want to get really paranoid after the high temp paint dries spray the exhaust again but with that high temp silicon spray that comes with the dei kits. Or just get a quieter exhaust, lol.

Quiets down at higher RPMs?? I have an EVO2 and mine is definitely quieter at lower RPMs. And by the way...this is hardly a loud exhaust at all.

Add a resonator to the exhaust. Problem solved. Usually.

I HAVE THE SAME ONE.... i know its not that loud but i would like it a little quieter in the cabin.... my exhaust is really deep when u open the throttle at higher gear. Now if yours differs than obviously our engines are different and u cant relate. thanks anyways on your input.

No. You need a closed foam sound barrier. Check out SecondSkin.com

Yes, but a resonator (if the exhaust doesn't already have one) will probably be a cheaper solution. You'd have to take out your seats and carpet to lay it down too.

do some research. dynamat is not to quiet the interior of the car really. there are better sound insulators than that.

from one of the gurus of deadening, Raam audio (applies to my subaru, but maxima should be similar).

Deadening just the trunk, even the rest of the car, may or may not do all you want as loud exhauast is of very high acoustical energy and permiates the air all around the car, coming in from everywhere.

It depends also if loud all the time or at a certain RPM but in the end, we all have different levels of acceptance so you can try it and see how it turns out for your needs.

If you deaden the hatch, some of the rear sides, rest on the floor and cover it all with Ensolite you will get the best results, this order should be plenty and add only 12 lbs or so at the most.

1.2 roll BXT RAAMmat 49.50
2 yards ensolite 19.90
