hey guys, my front bumper is sagging a bit, has anyone taken it off and tried to raise it ? any how tos ?? i've never even taked the bumper off and don't know how difficult this task is.

please let me know.. any help is appreciated.

mines sagging too rly bad on the right side, but thats b/c my car got hit there, o well. But taking the bumper off is fairly easy, its just a pain to get the clips off underneath the car. I hate clips, so broke like half of them, now there are zipties there. But basically there clips going along the bottom of your bumper, under the car, then there are i believe four clips along the top right above your grille, when you open the hood of your car. Then there are two screws on both sides of the bumper, you have to first peel back your wheel well in front of your wheel, and when you look through you will see that your bumper is attached to the fender by two screws, unscrew those on both sides. then your bumper should come off easily, you will have to also unplug your sidemarkers/foglights if you want to take it fully off. If i missed anything someone please fill in, I don't know if I remember everything.

 

hey guys, sorry took awhile to get back to you.. here are some pics i took.. sorry for the quality, cam-phone.. :/ but as you can see, the pass. side sags a little more, and the drivers side isnt as bad.. but i'd like to get it nise and snuck to the fender. thanks for your help.

 

all you need to do is pull back the plastic wheelwell liner in the front, and you'll see a 10mm bolt right there...tighten that up and it should straighten out.

So I have the same issue. Pulled back the liner in front and there is no magic bolt to tighten. Walked away came back 5 minute later thinking I would find cause it has to be right there in front of my face....nothing.

Anyone have a pic of this elusive b@stard?

 

My bolts are tight and it still sags cause of the lip.The metal bracket that holds the bumper at the top probably has to be bent up just a little.Doesnt bother me though.

mine was like that too, i took off my headlights and did a facelift with some hidden zipties

 

I had to do it with my Stillen bumper. There's a piece of plastic that comes down from the inside of your fender. Not only does this help you align your bumper back up, this is where your screw inserts and allows you to tighten up your bumper to the fender. This, over time, will eventually start to free spin due to over tightening them.

I removed my bumper completely. Drilled two new holes in both the fender and the bumper itself. ( both sides ) I did one about an inch or so from the front. The other was drilled directly in the middle of the two oem screw holes. Then I Reinstalled my bumper and put the oem screws back in place. Lastly, I put heavy duty zip ties into the holes I pre-drilled.

A little time consuming yes... worth it? Without a doubt.
