Hi, I'm new on the board and have a few questions... With my Maxima 2000 SE, I was wondering which intake and exhaust was best for it, and why? If you could respond, that would be great. Thanx.

Welcome aboard!

PR CAI will give you the most power, but it's loud. It's not recommended if you live in areas where flood happen.

Stillen/JWT intake will give you power (not as much as CAI) and it's not as loud as the intake listed above.

Exhaust parts
Y pipe
Stillen: cheaper, but not stainless steel
Cattman: stainless steel, but more expensive

B pipe
None available so you'll have to custom one.

muffer
Stillen: expensive, not sure what the gains are. People say it's loud, but imho it's not.
HKS: don't know, but heard it's quiet
A'pexi: don't know

Stillen HyFlow + Stillen YPipe

I've tested most of the combos including PR CAI and Stillen YPipes. Finally I choose the Stillen YPipe and the Stillen HyFlow Intake. By the way I have my Place Racing CAI , I used it for three weeks if youre interested I sell it to you for $125.00 plus S&H, I payed 240.00 incl. S&H mu EMail is peporuiz@yahoo.com

Hey pepo... how much difference was there between the CAI and Stillen's filter? I am interested if you put it on a dyno (same day and same dyno) or two totaly different occasions... If you have the dyno graphs, I would like to see them... I just find it funny that almost everyone here agrees that The CAI delivers more HP... but you are sticking with Stillen... why? is the HP difference so small?

We should have a dyno test back to back of the Stillen vs CAI intakes very soon. It will be on different cars, but both cars baseline dynoed exactly the same on the same dyno, same day.
