Brand new exhaust rattling on cold starts

Whats up guys. As some of you know, i had a greddy evo2 catback installed last month. Since a few days ago, every time i start it under really cold conditions, the exhaust rattles like a mother. Its brand new, and the sound is coming from the axle back section. imagine a cellphone vibrating on a hollow wood box. Why is it doing this??

You may need to remove the cross members. Also, you should check the rubber exhaust hangers.

cross member towards the rear are removed, and not sure about hangers. But are they even affected in the cold?

you are probably making contact with the heat shield, you might want to get under there and see if there are any places where the pipes get close and make adjustments accordingly

hey, did you feel any more power when you deleted your resonator? I'm thinking of doing this until i get a catback.

well, since its way "louder" it definitely seems like i have 500hp haha but technically speaking - no. resonators make little to no difference in terms of performance. Especially the straight through ones, which are just like not having a resonator.

basically just there for sound deadening than performance.

Well, at least this is what the exhaust shop told me.

There is really no hp to be gained by replacing any parts past the y pipe. it is all for sound the only real performance gain is in the y-pipe (not including headers unless you have a vq35). I dont remember the exact dyno numbers but it is 10hp +or- 3hp everything back of that pretty much just changes the sound
