1014 miles. Fly from eastern Iowa to Newark and driving my new baby all the way back. 2000 SE 5-speed.

Anyone want to give me the low down on where the donut eaters sit on I-80 through Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois?

How far were you willing to go for your 5th gen?

Had to cross a rickety, old wooden bridge over some river rapids, after that had to walk with only one shoe across the Texas desert, then had to endure a Class 9 Hurricane (the strongest) with no umbrella, annd then I had to swim across alligator infested swamps.

Who else would dare go that far for a Maxima?

why would you need an umbrella in a hurricane?

Good question. I don't know. It was purchased new from a NJ dealership, so I would kind of assume not. Didn't someone that 2001 was when all became cali-emmissions?

let me give it a shot here i have made about half of that trip. Your best/safest bet is to just piggy back on the 18 wheelers. They fly through there on route 80. If you got a radar detector use it in PA they use X band, that would be the state cops. When you get to ohio you are on your own. But PA can be tricky, just sit back and enjoy the scenic ride on what truckers voted the worst highway in the US.

safe travels

I go from chicago to Iowa City every 3 wks. not many cops out. I topped my car out at 142 on I-80.

Went to several dealerships about 30 min away and couldn't find an Icelandic Pearl SE. Finally went to local dealership and settled for a GLE ( with a spoiler)

went about 90 miles from Round Rock to Gunn Nissan in San Antonio for my auto SE. They have "no haggle" pricing - the price is the price. Got it for $250 over dealer invoice.

You guys are working too hard. My dealer picked me up, drove home in Sterling Mist SE loaded minus nav unit($300 under invoice). Too bad they didn't have the 6spd either way, life is good.

10 minutes to the dealership, 2K SE 5spd.

At the time, had a 3 month old 2K Altima SE 5spd. Took it to the dealer because of some engine noise at 12K miles... then saw the MAX

Drove it home the same day...

I ordered mine in Toronto. I live right by Detroit. That's only about 250 miles. However I'll have an international border to cross and a few customs stops along the way. Dealer expects to get it in January sometime.

I got mine at a dealer about five miles from the house last February. They had an ad in the paper for $1000 under invoice. I got a 2K1 SE with every option for $26K. I couldn't find a better deal in Chicagoland.
