I got some "oem" headlights off ebay about 6 months ago..since then the high beams have been rather dull but the regular beams are extremely bright...i always though they were point too far up ..so after trying that nothing..still the same ....any ideas?

My 01 high beams point up 'fairly' high. I don't use them that often, so it doesn't really bother me. Maybe someone else w/ 00-01 lights can confirm this.

Now that you mention this I think I have the problem. I have head lights that I got off eBay. My highbeams point up so high that I can light up street signs.

i still have factory ones, but seem to notice that too, but i think its cause i have the cool blue lights (which suck). Im going silver star (or whatever they're called). Does anyone know if the 02-03 headlamp will swap out with the 01 style? super curious... thanks

Are they the OEM used lights or the OEM knock-offs that ebay sells? If they are the ebay knock-offs, you will never be able to get it perfect, even though you should be able to get them some what close, might need to drill out the brackets or do some shimming to adjust them better, drop it off at the body shop and pay them to do it. yes they will but you'll need to redo the wiring a bit. There are MANY MANY threads about this here on the org, do a search, there are also a few good write ups. I would search for you but I need to get to work.

I definitely have the ebay knock offs, so i guess all i can conclude now is that i get what i pay for :-( The dealer is still asking for around 200 for each housing , which is weird because this car is getting older and older, and with the addition of the 09 maxima you'd think they would drop the price on older parts but i guess not
