Raced a '99 Jetta VR6 (VID)

Well, we went from stop to about 65 2 times. First time he had my by his bumper. 2nd a by 1/3 of a car. I new that Jetta was pretty fast, but I really thought i would have him...
We did the 0-60 on the G-Tech and his best was like 7.4 while mine was 7.75 (Both Automagics)

Me 0-60 alone: http://public.ug.cs.sunysb.edu/~eriky/new/Max0-60.mpg

We will try again this weekend probably. I might try to shift manually. Also, want to see if I will have him 30-80 or so... I should at least win there, no??
Any pointers you guys got so I can beat him?? I know MODS help, but I have yet to buy my .ORG Stickers...

those VR6

are quick little things... I race my friend's corrado VR6(back then, he is still automagic, now he is stick) in my gf's 97 auto, same result as you.... he edge me out just a little.... can't wait to race him with my 2k stick(as soon as I get back to WI).... should be close race.. he has since then convertered to stick, with aftermarket cam, and now he is spraying... should be a close race with him if he is not spraying...

Definitely manually shift because you're not using all your power.

How much of a difference does the cam make?
