Clutch Issue.
Clutch Issue.
Nearly a month ago, I had an Exedy OEM Replacement clutch and Fidanza lightweight flywheel installed on my '01 Maxima. I purchased it from Mike at ImportRP, great guy and was a big help. I had my Nissan dealer install it.
Engagement is good, pedal effort is low and there is no chattering. But I have an issue with the clutch pedal. When my foot comes off of it quick enough, the pedal will actually come out a certain distance slowly and then make a popping noise as it releases completely.
This doesn't affect engagement, since the clutch is fully engaged before the pedal has been released completely. I just think it's weird that this happens. It has been really cold lately, but I am not sure if that has something to do with it.
Is there anybody here who has this clutch and has experienced this? Any thoughts?
Thanks guys.

A little more than a year ago i had the exact same work done to mine. Exedy oem, fidanza flywheel etc. No problems except if i kept the clutch disengaged for too long it would get stuck to the floor sometimes. I would then have to pump a couple of times to get some feel from the peddle. A mechanic told me it was the slave cylinder but i told him i had that replaced with the clutch job so he was clueless at that point and told me to bleed the lines again. No problems since then and i love the flywheel. No drivability issues at all and it really wakes first gear up from a slow roll. Watch the tires though.
