Ok, who now has the best deal on Illuminas?

Looks like jdmwerks has really raised their prices from last year, so who's got the best deal going for Illumina's in '09? My Blues/Maxspeed setup is way beyond being worn out (probably have at least two blown struts), so it's time to start shopping around. Plan on having everything ready for when the weather breaks this spring.

As it looks now, I'm going to do:

Illumina's & H&R's
New front strut bushings
New brakes/pads (still looking for a good deal on those too)
End Links

SEmy2k2go, check with Jason of RaceTech Performance (in GB section) for your brake needs. Quality stuff with great prices.

As far as the Illuminas, last I checked, PerformancePeddler.com had the best prices for our cars.

Can you get the KYB dustboots here? I heard there are a few things to replace when putting on the illuminas since I'll be in the area.

Has anyone used shox.com with their price match guarantee?

http://www.shox.com/performance-shoc.../lowest-prices

They may beat the performancepeddler price.

I got them from Ebay (jdmwerks) in October when live.com was running a 30% Cashback. Final price was $430 - $120 = $310 Shipped. Hope the cashback comes back again

I have H-Techs, which everyone seems to hate. I like them, especially the drop. Looking back, I would have gone with Eibachs, but their popularity hadn't reached it's peak when I picked up the H-Techs.

I just don't think the H&R drop is significant. Ride quality is another question altogether, if that's what you're going for.

GL getting a good price on struts. Looks like you have some good options.

Hmm, I just went to PerformancePeddler.Com and it looks like they aren't offering such a good deal anymore. They are still offering a discount, but it's only $252 which puts the shipped total at $475. They are $30-$40 cheaper from Ebay.

I just checked and it is $215.50 each - I assume that is front or rear, with free shipping.://http://www.performancepeddler.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=TOKBB3188

Well, since they suppot Maxima.org, I would rather give PerformancePeddler my business anyway. When it comes time to order, I'll just call them up and see what they can do.

does anyone have any new updates on illumina prices. gonna buy soon. Ive checked jdmwerks and right now he is at 445 while performace peddler is at 479 or so. Does anyone know of anywhere cheaper or if tokico will honor a warranty from Ebay. Has anyone bought from Jdm and were they happy with the sale and time to receive the shocks...

AJUSA and ERZ Performance

I paid for a kit through AJUSA. It was KYB Hsocks and Sturts with Vogtland Spings. It was gonna be $469 for the kit. They sent me an email and said they couldn't get the setup anymore and refunded my money. I went to a local shop and they said the KYB GR-2 is a stock height shcok and strut set and if I put lowering springs on the kit I would kill the shocks and stuts within a year becuase the KYB kit isn't made for lowering.

I found a coilover kit on the ERZ Performance website called NES SS Coilovers. Has anyone heard of NEX? Here's the link http://www.erzperformance.com/product_p/ss1-ns06.htm

Please let me know if these are any good and if I should buy them.

All these struts/shock are stock height, it's what type of springs you install and whether or nor they are lowered within the spec's of the strut/shock. For instance running springs that lower Illuminas more than 2" could be detrimental. Also most struts and lowered springs need to have the bumpstops cut in half to allow for a little more piston travel since there is literally no room for suspension travel with stock height bumpstops in the lowered stance!!!!

OK so I'm looking to get the illuminas now. I ordered off ebay from performance-parts2000 for 464 but they are back ordered till the end of may. Called Performance Peddler and they cant price match and don't have the rears in stock and they will take weeks to get in. Shox doesn't list the illuminas just the HP's and hpautoworks are 500. Does anyone know of any other places to get them from at a reasonable price.

I saw jdmwerks list them for sale on ebay last night and then pulled the auction and hasn't got back to me on if he is still selling them and if they are in stock.
Can anyone help with some places to try....
