what are the two sensors that are fan switch

i don't have a pic to ask but there two sensors where the radiator hose connects to the engine. one is small and the other is big the small is first and has one wire the the big one is behind it and it has two. whihc one of them are the fan switch and which is the coolant temp sensor

Both are coolant temp sensors. The first one is for the gauge in the car the second one, closest to the engine, is for the ECU. The ECU controls the fans based on the coolant temperature, vehicle speed and A/C compressor.
