Cattman 3" catback

Did you see Merlyn's dynos?
Granted, he had Cattman headers on there as well, but the only difference with the dyno was going from Cattman's 2.5" to Cattman's 3" exhaust.
Those are about the gains you can expect to see.

Listening to the resonated videos, it is quieter than most 2.5"s out there. I do not think this set up will be loud at all. I have GenIII's (header & y-pipe) and a test-pipe. I don't think it is going to be loud.
...you should place a backorder...

Don't get this exhaust if you want a quiet exhaust... the exhaust is loud, though powerful I will say ahead of time it is loud. The resonator helped with some of the drone at cruising speed.
I had the exhaust on my car for 6 months probably maybe longer, never got pulled over.
It is a loud exhaust but at least for my car was worth the added horsepower.

I will second the 3" being loud. I heard it before and after the resonator was installed. Loud either way. Much louder without. It's not as loud as some LS1 with full exhaust...but still loud.

+1, merlyn BARELY touched the gas in those clips just to give you and idea of how he was driving the car. Wasn't accelerating hard at all.

I live in Toronto and our cops are like Cali. They just sit waiting for modified cars to pass by plus all of our new street racing laws etc. It's pretty harsh especially if you are in certain area's where street racing is prominent. Best sound clip I've heard is the EVO2. Just can't afford getting a ticket every week or car towed.

I will say that the most likely reason why he never got a ticket was that he was never driving like a jackass, and didn't come off (at first look) as a modified car.

“Cylindrical” steel is measured in different ways, depending on type. The diameter of steel tube is referenced by the outside (OD, or outside diameter), versus steel pipe (like for plumbing or some plenum-style turbo header manifolds), which is referenced by the inside (ID, or inside diameter). Since the wall thickness of the 16ga tubing we use is about 0.063”, then the two walls (0.126”) plus the ID (2.375”) equal the outside diameter (2.500”).
Anyway, although there can be variances of a few thousands of an inch from one manufacturer to another, all steel tubing used for exhaust parts is referenced by OD, irrespective of diameter or steel alloy.
Since this discussion has diverted on the basis of incorrect information, let me be perfectly clear. No matter what brand of exhaust part, no matter what mill the tubing comes out of, mild and stainless steel TUBING is always measured on the outside, meaning that the inner diameter will always be about 1/8" smaller.
