Possible Clutch issue?

Ok, so I went to get my emissions done this past sunday. I pull my car behind the garage at the jiffy lube and the guy says, "Just leave it here. I'll pull it up." I think nothing of it until I hear him trying to make it up the ramp and revving way too high and slipping my clutch way too much. This concerns me. The manager pulls it out of the garage after it passes and lets me know that the guy did what he did and smelled the clutch a little bit. Well, a little bit was a large understatement! I get out there and all the windows are down and it reaks of toasted clutch. I hadn't smelled it this bad since I drove it home for the first time across atlanta in heavy traffic and hills(which was my first time taking a manual car more than 5 miles...ever). These past few days I will still smell the clutch even after light use. I dont slip the clutch excessively at all so I feel like I shouldn't be smelling anything but I've got a suspiscion that he might've glazed the surface a bit. There's also a slight judder in the pedal right before full engagement. The manager said if I have any problems that I can bring it back and he will have it checked out. Think these symptoms (smell and judder) should be looked at by a trans shop?

I would have it looked at as soon as possible. The more time passes the harder it will be to get them to admit any kind of fault. Go by the shop that did that and talk to the same manager first. Tell him what it's doing and that you want to have a trans shop inspect it at his cost.

Agree. Take it back to them and say that there is something wrong and they need to fix it. Don't mention that you had an issue before when you first drove it.

Get them to take responsibility right off the bat.

man, that sucks. I'm always nervous about letting anyone else drive my car. I think most people in North America don't know how to drive manual.

good luck and let us know how it works out.

Hmm, i have a random judder on mine too. I just got the new clutch last summer and it's still under warranty. I just thought it was somewhat normal. Maybe not.
