sounds like your seat module went haywire.
Disconnect the slide motor harness and connect positive and negative directly to the motor and see if it moves (you might need to swap polarity of your leads to get it to move in the direction you need)
if the motor works, with a digital meter, check the switch assembly for proper functionality
if above checks out, your seat module might be bad.
you did check the fuses, correct?

Remove the motor off the seat track and see if you can move it back manually a bit. then reinstall the motor and it should move back, but do not let it get to the farthest point.
What happens is over time, the motor brushes get worn and it doesn't produce enough power. When the seat is pushed to the farthest point forward or back, it needs more power to get it moving in the other direction than if it was somewhere in the middle or or any other point on the track than the very end.
let me know if you need more help.

2000 Anniversary Passenger Seat Problem...
I had a similar problem with my passenger seat. The only difference is that the seat back switch operates, but the seat switch that moves the seat forward and rearward just went out.
Can I get to the seat motor with out taking the seat out?

"Pressure Fit Method"
My dealer used the "pressure fit method" and for $30, hit the motor with a hammer. it worked... and has been working ever since. it might of just gotten jammed.
It was stuck at the end of the track. TURN OFF THE AUTOMATIC SEAT RETRACTOR BUTTON!! THIS WILL PREVENT WEAR AND TEAR ON THE MOTOR.
Best of luck.

BTW the motor that controls forward/back is in the front center of the seat. Just a couple of taps with something with mass (I used my SOG) and it will release.

So any help would be greatly appreciate here. I've been reading all the posts and have some idea but sure wanna make sure I understand this correctly. My driver seat is stuck all the way back, over the bolts so I can't remove the seat itself. It reclines and all that, but it won't move forward, It only moves on the left side, not the right. It's like the right side is stuck and won't move. I tried tapping on the motor, but to be fair I can barely get to it since I can't remove the seat. I looked and don't see anything in the rail. I took it to the dealer here in Portland, OR and the f'ing dude just called and said it was going to be $1,800 for a "lower seat adjuster". Nothing about the motor, nothing about any bushing or grommet, nothing about the rail. They're not sure what the issue is so replacing the entire f'ing thing is the only thing they can do. How can I get to the bolts if the seat stuck all the way back and covering them? Thanks you guys!!
