A few control lights out, ideas on how to fix

I have a few control lights out somehow....
The burnt out ones are:
The rear and front defrost, auto, econ, off, and circulate.

Should this be just a simple crack it open and swap leds or is there more to this? If so I may just change colors for all of them.

I've seen old threads but no one that I have seen fixed it unless it was warranty covered

call Dave B. They are like $3 each.. You may want to get a few extras.. when one went, they others went within a few weeks, as did the ones in our pathfinder.. I mean, right at 3 years, they all started going

Anyway, easy to fix, just be careful in there.. You have to separate the Auto Climate Control Box. again, just clear yourself of static. When you get the ACC apart, you'll see the back side of the display. The bulbs half-turn in to the back of the board and they will be facing you, ie you cant see the actual bulb at this point. You'll only see the blue + to screw them out.. I thought they were surface mount rheostats when I first saw them :/ But they just come right out

Mine were under warranty.. After 3 trips to the dealer and hours of my time lost, they told me I needed a new ACC box.. (which is 300-400 for anyone unfortunate enough to need a $3 bulb replaced out of warranty). I told them I knew the bulbs were replaceable (as per Dave).. they magically found this info. and promptly ordered the wrong bulb. They then got in my dash and replaced *something*, not sure what.. I suspect it was the light that illuminates the coin tray. They insisted that lit the buttons on the ACC. After leaving the bay and seeing half of the buttons STILL out, I said screw it, ordered from Dave and had my own shizzle fixed in 25 mins.

looks like ill be talking to dave again....any other ideas?

order the neowedge led bulbs for the climate control.

Some of those bulbs are standard 3mm LED's. Some of them are the neowedge bulbs. If you are talking about the words "econo, off, auto" etc, you need to replace the 3 neowedge bulbs. The defrosters are standard 3mm LED's just as the security light is a standard 3mm LED>. But some of the buttons with words on them also have a 3mm LED to indicate they are turned on.

My security light, econ, front and rear defrost, etc... are all blue now.

You know now that I'm thinking about it I may have had a short during a car wash, I forgot to seal the clips on my halos and it shorted one out (still worked) it happened sometime after the halo install..I wired the halos into my parking light circuit. Maybe it's on the same circuit. I will check the schematic and follow up. I know all about leds =P thanks for your input!

BTW that link is broken.

actually the radio controls are hooked up to a fuse under the hood. I had my fogs and brakes and bose go out (thanks to the fog light mod) at the same time due to a short in the bose led swap I did. I had to go back and redo a few and add some extra insulation.

Wouldnt they be on the same circuit though? They only illuminate when the parking lights or headlights are on....I will check things over

I have a 2003 SE and all my light wents out except my head lights and brake lights. Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions what it could be? I checked the fuses but didn't look like any where blown. It's more then what happened to ur's.
