ABS Noise and Light

I started the car this afternoon and I heard a repitative mechanical noise coming from, what seemed to be the front drivers side of the car. Sounded alot like the noise your stereo makes when it ejects a CD. I also noticed that the ABS light was on. I turned the car off, restarted and the noise and light were gone. Is this random or a prelude for somthing about to need fixing? Thanks in advance.

It's probably a wheel sensor starting to fail or becoming contaminated. You can get the error from the ABS light. The procedure is in the FSM.
