hi, well my check engine light is on so i checked it out and the code it gives me is p1456. does anybody know what this means. thx

 

On a regular OBD Scanner you will get that "P1456 - Manufacturer Control Auxiliary emission controls" but if you look at it through Nissans FSM it is known as "P1456 - EVAP Emission Control System Very Small Leak (Positive Pressure Check)"
First thing is to replace the gas cap(maybe its leaking, most common issue) If that does not work you need the EVAP system checked. It could be one of the hoses connected to the EVAP canister leaking.

 

First just take off the gas cap and put it back on making sure it's tight. Then you have to drive it for a up to a couple days to see if it fixes the issue.

Happened to me a few months ago when some moron didn't tighten the cap.

Crappy New Jersey where they don't allow self serve.

Not like you're going to support a family on a minimum wage pumping gas job. I think only one other state doesn't allow self serve (Somewhere out west, Dakotas or Montana)

Kills me since they don't care what they drip on your paint.
