walbro fuel pump installation questions

I was reading one of SR20DEN's old threads "255 lph HP Walbro installed in 2k2" and he had an issue of the fuel pressure dropping low at wot? Not sure if he ever found the cause to this.

I was doing research and everyone the upgrades to the walbro 342 just states that we need to shave the tabs to get it to fit.
I also found this website http://cj-motorsports.com/342install.htm providing instructions on upgrading the fuel pump on a 350z w/ a 342.

Did you have to do anything else when installing the walbro besides trimming the tabs to get it to fit? They talk about modifying the swirl jet and modifying the regulator. No one in our forums ever list this step, do you think this could have fixed SR20DEN's issue or are these two additional steps required for our cars.

Thank you,
Kev

Never had to mod the swirl jet, never had a problem.

You don't need to modify the regulator either.
