So I went to install my CD player today and when I turned the car on...everything seemed to work accept there was NO sound. I checked my connections and they all appear to be good. Any ideas?

The OEM CD player and speakers were completely fine prior to the removal.

 

check the fuse in the new unit..

 

I will, but I would think it wouldn't work at all if the fuse was blown. It lights up and everything...just no sound.

 

Was the stock system Bose by anychance? If so did you disconnect the Bose amp from the speakers?

 

This should have been asked in the audio forum. Did you get a Bose adapter for your new head unit?

 

check the connections you made. a friend of mine once installed a radio and stripped way to much casing off the wires, so there were spots where wire touched wire, completing the circuit before the wattage could reach the speakers = no sound. make sure you did a good job with the connections
