? about moving info screen and putting in a LCD in its place..

Just as it says up top... I have a 2005 maxima se ... I just installed my pioneer indash DVD/CD/MP3 and wanted to know what it would run , if its even possible , to install a lcd screen where the info screen is now and move that info screen to the bottom. I know that u can move the info screen down...just not sure if i can plug anything in to my exact unit that would just duplicate the image thats on the actually DVD player unit itself...

Im not looking for some SUPER expensive screen... Just a decent one w/ nice quality... Im aware you get what you pay for...

Anyone know what size it exactly is that will fit in there? 7inch ? 6.5?

I have a pioneer pdvd6500

Before anyone post... WRONG SECTION or what not... Its not it has to do w/ my 6th gen and audio...

I posted this in the audio section also.. but just wanted to maximize my chances of getting an answer... Thank you ! Justin

I think the 6th gen screen size is 6.5... you could just measure it to get the exact size. Go to onlinecarstereo.com or any other audio site and you'll see something to your liking.

Pretty much any 7 inch display will fit. I had a 7 inch touchscreen when the carputer was installed and now have a generic 7 inch display with my new setup and no problems with the fit.

There are usually some in the AUDIO/VIDEO classifieds. Alot of the older gen guys sell them regularly.

The license plate camera and the pyle screen should work with your hu. I recommend getting some headrest monitors too. Good luck and keep us posted.

Edit - your 2nd link did not work for me.

Everything I needed came with the screen. Double check that you didn't get the 7.5"

I ran a modulator because I still have factory H/U. TV/DVD through factory BOSE.

Just buy a camera off EBAY, don't pay $250 just for the name, I bought on for $30 and it works fine...
As for the screen it's best to find one with no buttons on the front, here's the one that me and Tek have:
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...+NRM-7002.html

As for cameras, take your pic:
http://motors.search.ebay.com/search...rch&fpos=92647

I mounted the screen to the dash housing itself for a nice snug fit. As far as hooking everything up, your HU has a back-up camera Input and a
composite A/V Output, you're all good.
