Darren still haven't found what we were discussing earlier low enough in price for me to purchase, so in the meantime, I'm down for this as well. So put me down for one regardless if I get the other unit or not. I can surely resell it if I pick the other up but, I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Will end up selling the UTEC I have now, and buy one that is not cut once I pickup your harness.

Ive been talking with a few of you, i'm currently working on the latest test harness. Will have it done very soon its 2/3 done. Then itll take a week or so to test it out.

Once its tested i will post the results, good or bad, i will post them. Lets all hope this new wire is what is needed! Ive got a good feeling this wire is gonna be the wire i go with on any type harness i make.

Should know something Tues or Wed this week.

Once this is tested if the cold misfire is gone, ill then place a order for connector parts. It will take weeks to get those in. In that time i might take pre orders.

if the cold misfire isnt gone but it works otherwise you should still make some, I guarantee people will buy them since its not really a problem with the harness, moreso with the ECU/UTEC interface since it happens to cars that dont have your harness

I said that some time ago. I am in a warm enough climate that I'm sure it won't be an issue. If not ill wire a latching relay to a bottle warmer and tie it into the alarm and just wrap the utec.

ill just drive with the misfire for 5 minutes a couple times a year, not that big of a deal for a lot of people that are interested. its also much better than the alternative, which is no UTEC at all

UPDATE:

Tested the new harness, no different than the old harness. Still having a cold misfire issue. That quickly went away when the UTEC was above ~40 degrees. Whats going to happen you ask? I'm going to push forward and bite the bullet and order the parts to make harnesses. With some of the testing some UTEC's and pnp harnesses had no cold misfires at all. This could very well be a random UTEC quirk. The cold misfires quickly go away once the UTEC is warms up to about 40 degrees so in the winter once the cabin is warm the UTEC will be running smooth. This being said.. I will not be able to say this pnp harness with a UTEC will or will not have a cold misfire issue. It very well could be totally fine in sub zero temps.

Cliffs: PNP UTEC 5.5 Gen harness will go into production

Cali because of the warm weather. Less of a chance for mis-fires.

Trying to order the parts, the supplier prices went up about 40% for some reason. Some parts almost doubled. trying to work out a deal right now.
