5.5 Gen dyno FAIL!
For those that wanted to know and all that good stuff here is the updated thread about what happened and dyno proof.

Wait.. I'm confused. Did you put the canister back on as well? Or just the sensor? Because I've run without the canister when I had the 350Z I/M on the first time and it ran just fine.

UPDATE please read page 3.....
Ok so they had a dyno day today at a local shop. I knew I wasn't going to run great numbers because I knew something is wrong with my car.
This is the other thread that someone started about how it feels and what could possibly be wrong.
http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...03-maxima.html
Anyway here is the dyno..flaming may happen, but I would rather get some constructive input in this matter. My mods are listed in my Sig.. It looks like I'm running pretty lean. However how would this give me 30-50 HP and TQ less than other Maximas with the same mods.....?

OBTW...I kept getting it called the Maxi-Pad (before the run) and "Hey the car is backwards, and the engine is sideways".....fun stuff...mustangers

I've heard about the UTEC....however I know the EU is awesome as well.....as of right now, with what I got, I'm going to use the SAFCII and what not then go from there....

There is a video of my last dyno....the squeak at the end is...i dunno

Thats how its supposed to look...the instructions need to be read carefully.
Just looked up directions on NWPs website maybe I was just thinking I could delete the canister and actuator because I read on here thats what everyone else was doing. I still dont really understand what the canister would be doing without the vias.
Thats a vacuum canister, which you need vacuum in an engine for it to perform properly.
The only reason it is there is to assure there is a vac source to open up the VIAS plate. Without it, at WOT at the RPM the plate opens/closes, you would be producing no vacuum.
It's not like there's an issue with it being there, but you could just as well put a vacuum cap on the nipple on the UIM and remove the solenoid, lines, and canister. The only problem with removing the solenoid is you'll likely throw a code.

The vacuum canister is useless with the blockoff plate.

How come I was making such ****ty numbers with those parts taken off, and only a pending code no CEL?

As long as you had the vac nipple on the UIM capped and the solenoid plugged in, there should've been absolutely zero driveability issues or codes.
Should. Cars don't always follow the logical path, IME.

Everything circled in red was taken out by the shop that did this (I had other work done at the same time valve cover rplc, spark plugs, spacers). The part on the left where the vacuum line is connected to the UIM was capped off. However the electrical plug was just dangling by the fuel rails unplugged and the canister was off....

But all of that equipment is doing exactly the same thing now as it would laying on the floor, with the UIM capped off.
Well actually now it's purging the vacuum from the canister at the two crossover points for the VIAS plate due to the open nipple on the solenoid, but it's all the same.
Odd that it caused such issues for you.
I know - I was told to check vacuum...I did - and I did not have any..I check for leaks...none..once I put this shiz on then i dynoed and the outcome was from 175 to 215....
Yeah, makes no sense. I removed that crap when I put on the spacers (already had block off plate), it made zero difference. I just plugged the vac line.

hmmm, I thought the canister was just a charcoal canister. Back when I had my accident the body shop didn't notice that one of the nipples on the canister was snapped off. I noticed right away when I got in the car and my wideband was running 15.5. I popped th hood and heard the leak. They ordered me a new canister, but in the mean time I just broke off the other nipple and used it as a splice to hook the two hoses together for no leaks. The car ran like a champ.
