2002 Maxima SE MAF question

Does anyone know if the computer has to be re-programmed after replacement of the MAF, either new or used? The car is a 12/01 build date. Also, has anyone had a bad experience with an aftermarket unit. Speedycarparts.com has a good price on an aftermarket unit - $175. Nissan Canada wants $600.

Thanks in advance.

To answer the first question, no you won't have to reset it. Once your replace the MAF turn the car on let it run for a few then shut it off. Repeat it again, and it will reset itself.
Secondly, if you have a stock air box try and stick with nissan.

Check out Dave B @ South Point. He has them less than $85. You can tranfer the resistor from old one. Beats over $400.

Peteus,

I will take your MAF.

Tell me how you want to be paid. Also, can I be sure your MAF will work on my car.

My max is 2002 12/01 build date.

Do you know the number - ie AM600, 6N200, 6N201? Is it in the tube or not?

Send me your info to:
