Transmission/clutch issue? 6spd

Ok, so I just got rid of my 96 se, and upgraded to an Sterling Mist 03' SE with T.E. and M.E.

3.5L 6spd.

In first gear, I feel some sort of 'throbbing' from the gear shift that varies directly in relation to engine speed. Only in 1st gear accelerating and decelerating. Second gear it can be felt decelerating. Every other gear is perfectly smooth. No weird noises.

I was curious, so I slightly put my foot on the clutch pedal while the above situation was in effect. I felt it strongly through the clutch.

My question is, is this maybe the throwout bearing? Transmission problem? Any ideas would be great, thanks!

Sounds like the throwout bearing to me. I've experienced that feeling on two other cars including a 98 maxima. Not 100% sure, but if I were you, I'd go ahead and replace that along with the clutch, pilot bearing, etc.

Does sound like throwout bearing. How many miles? Do you know if clutch has been changed?

I don't believe it's ever been changed, seeing as it was a commuter car and has 110k miles. I have some service records for the car, and none of them mention a clutch job. Just an oil leak that was previously fixed.

I don't think it can cause any transmission damage, but please, correct me if i'm wrong. I think i'll just deal with it till I get caught up from buying this thing.
