Smoked Tail Lights on Gray Lustre...opinions

Ok, I am looking into painted my tail lights smoke color. Like the outside color of the 00-01 SE tail lights. I saw someone's black Maxima with it done and it looked sweet. Do you think it would still look good on Gray Lustre? I have included a picture, if someone could photoshop them for me, that would be great. Thanks!

personally, i think it's tacky to be painting tail lights on your car. just save some $$ and buy the smoked tails. i'm sure someone is selling it used for cheap.

Do mean just buy the SE tail lights?
Well after creating this thread, I just realized that it would look better to paint the outside of the tail light (likw what is already black on the SE lights) body color. I have seen it on a white Maxima and it looked sweet. I think that's what I am going to do now. I don't think black tail lights would look good on a non-black car.

I've got a 2K SE, but I'm not all that thrilled with the smoked outline. Not enough to sell them yet, but I might change them some time.
