How to bypass BOSE???

Here's my issue...I have a Pioneer headunit in my car with the rest of the audio system being the OEM Bose. I can turn the volume up to about ten with the volume increasing, but after that only the numbers will increase and not the volume. I was told that the easiest fix is to completely bypass the Bose system...is this the case? If so, could someone maybe point me in the right direction. I have looked for a right-up on this, but have been unsuccessful in finding one.

Do you have a PAC-OEM adapter installed?

Yeah if you have the adapter the gain controls on the adapter can be turned up and this will make a huge difference.

What wire harness are you using?
You could also try the Metra 70-7551.

if you want to bypass the bose, then i assume you mean you want to bypass the bose factory amplifier. get a 9 wire and then buy a 4 channel amplifier. take out the factory speaker wires out of the bose amp, (located in trunk under rear deck) attach to 9 wire (or not. your choice) and run into 4 channel amp. or you could do that with you're pioneer headunit amp instead of getting an external 4 channel.

basically what im saying is take the factory speaker wires out of the factory bose amp, and run them to some other kind of power source - like your pioneer headunit (internal amp) or a 4 channel

you can use something like this, but your headunite needs to have 4volt RCa outputs or the volume will be low:

Or, like the guys mentioned, get one of these and set the gains:

or u could just get new speakers install them and run new wires and power them off the HU, leave all the old wiring there and switch it back to bose when u get a new car or upgrade
