Borla muffler

I found a video on youtube of an 03 Max with a Borla muffer. I love how it sounds but i dont know the size of our exhaust to get a price on the muffler. Can anyone tell me what the inlet size would be?

Here is a link to the youtube vid... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Wi5DYhpai8

Thanks!!

I can't help you, but I'll chime in with agreement... I've always loved the sound of Borla mufflers. Good luck getting that together. You're certainly looking at a customized exhaust to hang a Borla.

I wish I knew. I'm the "yostix" user who asked about it on there. I love Borla mufflers. Best sounding exhausts out there.

2.5 is the inlet diameter, and yes it will be a custom install

How is it going to need modification? Does Borla not offer an offset inlet muffler?

Yes, but the alignment, dimensions and hangers won't match anything stock or aftermarket. That's why hanging one would be a custom job.

If Borla ever came out with a full exhaust or cat-back for the Maxima, probably most people here would get in line to buy one.

I would definitely buy one. There is a guy in the Group Buy section asking about a new exhaust system for our cars and I asked if it could be a borla muffler, but got no response.

I wonder why Catts doesn't design and sell a Borla cat-back?

It would be even more expensive! Thier(Borla) components/products aren't cheap dollar wise to start with...you thought that crowd of Maxima orgers were crying about the price of Cattman parts already....They would commit to ebay suicide for sure!

You could be right, but I paid about $650 for my catback on my Contour SVT.

There was a guy on the CSVT board who sold his own system and used borla mufflers. Was about $550, I think, and everyone loved it especially since Borla stopped production on their own system.

I guess that some people fail to realize that a good stainless steel system will outlast the life of their car.

I just want a little louder than stock. Not real loud cause this is my daily driver. And this muffler seems to have a nice tone without being obnoxious.

I'm pretty sure it's the turbo muffler.
