I've been running 235/45/17 front and 245/45/17 back and don't have any vibration issues. You might not be used to those tire sizes and are feeling the difference in the ride quality. What tire size(s) were you running before?

before i had the stock GLE rims with 225/50/17 all around

well its not just ride quality, there IS definitely vibration.
the wheel shakes a little as does the front or the car....in fact it even seems to have a rythm of vibration...

I have 350z rims with 225/50r17 in front and 235/50r17 in the rears with no vibration rubbing or any other issues.

You might want to try having them balanced

I went from stock GLE 225/55/16 to the ones I have now and I definitely felt the ride not being as smooth as before, due to the shorter tire wall height. In your case, your side wall height is shorter than your original tires (more so on the front tires than the rear ones) so you'll feel that difference too. If you are also experiencing some shaking then it could be a tire balancing issue. You might want to make sure that the lug nuts are tight on all 4, just in case.

im so screwed.

anybody know if the 18" wheels on 350z are all the same size? 18x8?

im thinking of just replacing all 4 tires and run 235/45/18

would that be possible?

Make sure you're new rims aren't bent before you invest in more tires. Might be why you got them at such a good deal...

Tire balancing can be as low as $5 per tire at some walmart auto centers. If you have any by you and if it makes sense to you, consider investing $20 before going any deeper...

They can measure that on the spin balancer. just ask them when you're getting the balance checked to have them look for a misshaped wheel. They'll know what to do.

so i went and the guy at pep boys figured out what the problem was, the dumbass who installed the tires this morning for me put the front ones backwards. so the guy at pepboys (this isnt where i got em installed) was kind enough to move the right to left and left to right and then balanced them for me--all for free..
i got on the highway and there was minimal vibration on the wheel, nothing noticeable...just normal worn tire feel. i still have a little bit of vibration on the seat so im getting the rear tires re balanced tomm and hopefully thatll do it for now...
thanks for everyone who made suggestions, i REALLY appreciate it.
maxima.org is the best...

I ran 235/45/18 all around and it was fine (non-staggered) Yes, get them balanced to remove and reduce the vibration... Look for hunter GPS 9000 machine... its a ROAD FORCE balance machine that gets rid of unwanted shakes from out of round or slightly bend rims.

most infiniti, nissan dealerships have it. My Local Goodyear Gemini had it too.

BUT its kinda costly...
