in the past 2 weeks 2 5 speed non locking tranny's went out on me!
both of them broke the same way. I rolled into first shifted 2nd, road out 2nd then shifted into 3rd and it just rev'd out as if i missed. it was clearly in gear 3rd gear just blew the f up. both tranny's broke the same exact way. my current setup is stock motor street tuned on 5 psi so its not like im making a lot of power.

Uh...have you actually opened the both trans and confirmed 3rd gear is gone? Have you looked at the shift linkage at all to see if there is excess play? What condition is the clutch and clutch hydraulics in?

It may be your clutch not engaging properly. Unless you confirmed the trans was actually broken inside.

Idk much about trannys, but I'd definitely check the clutch and get a POSTIVE id before swapping out trannys. 2 in 2 weeks isn't normal....
If you've already confirmed it's not the clutch or linkage or any excess play... disreguard this message, i'll kick myself out

stock motor = stock internals on 5psi boost.

Where are you getting those transmissions from? Same place?

Might just be a weird coincidence or whoever is selling you those is getting high mileage ones.
