Sticking accelerator peddle

Sticking accelerator peddle
So I recently took my first road trip in my Max. It's about a 4 hour drive to where I was going. The trip up was fantastic, she rode like a dream. On my way back after riding on the interstate for 2 hours with CC on I took my exit and came up to a red light.
Once I was able to go, I literally had to kick the peddle to get it to move. After that it was as smooth as butter.
I then got onto the highway and rode for another hour with CC and had to stop at a redlight in a small town. The peddle stuck again but not as bad, and again after that it was as smooth as butter.
Any ideas?

Try cleaning your throttle body if it's been a while since the last time it was cleaned. Sometimes sticky gunk collects around the edges of the butterfly causing the symptoms you describe. If you don't know how to do that, you might be able to find a "how-to" around these forums using the search function.
