I've searched and found conflicting answers on this topic, and I didn't want to bring back an old thread. Quick question: Will 00-01 fogs fit into and plug into an 02-03 bumper cover?

I was recently in an accident, and requested the shop to fit an 02-03 bumper and grille on my 01. But the fogs are fine. Some people say the harnesses don't fit (male/female), but can be spliced, while others say they are just larger altogether and won't fit period.

Whats the deal?

I think the 00-01 are smaller than the 02-03, but will fit.... but frontal profile different also

 

Will not fit IIRC.

Just so you know, the fog lights from 00-01 is plastic cover and 02 and on is glass. I don't know whether you're switching to 01 for the fact that it wouldn't crack as easily as glass or just out of convenience.

 

Size is different. You could always MAKE it fit, but it probably won't look right.

In response to the plastic/glass - don't you think 02/03'ers would be switching to the 00-01 fogs with lightning speed if they did in fact fit?

 

Yep. I mean, the glass subjectively looks better, but...

DJ is right. Just buy some 5.5 lenses on ebay for like $100/set or thereabout. Then get used to replacing them when they crack. Not if they crack... when they crack.
