I thinking to changing the wheels of my 01 max... and the biggest problem is the cost of aftermarket wheels as well as the waste of space to store my stock after changing. So i was wondering how much is my 15" stock worth? or rather who is willing to buy them from me or where can I sell it besides Ebay? Sad to say this poor student can only afford new wheels only if he sells off his stock wheels....

do you also have hubcaps like me? I saw some ppl selling a set 15"+tires for around $200. What are you getting instead? I just don't believe in spending $1000 for a set...might go with a used when find one cheap...$350-500, no more.

Yup I have hubcaps too..... it looks so ugly.... and BTW i seldom see GXE with 15" wheels also....

if you're willing to break up the set, i'm sure you could find a handful of people willing to buy one wheel each as full size spares.

has anyone tried to see if it will fit in the spare tire compartment?

I have not. But I tell you this, there are plenty of current 2k and 2k1 owners who are trading in for 2k2's...and if their trades have hubcaps on..this will not make a major difference on the trade-in value. 5th gen hubcaps are not THAT ugly, they are prettier that 95-96 GLE 15" alloys, for example. Plus, they are easier to maintain. If you scratch them, it is not the end of the world. I also noticed that 15's are rare on 5th gens, it means GXE w/o C/C package. We paid for our Maximas $8000 less than some ppl with spoilers, BOSE, and the heat under their ***. Heads up, we can still hang out with the crowd.
