opinions on a purchase please? (read first)

Okay so I have some cash and planning to make a purchase for my car. I canceled my order for megan catback because back order is going for at least another month...

I am considering NWP IM spacers

or

front upper and lower grilles with chrome door pillars (http://www.grille-tech.com/detail.ht...d=10193&view=1)

The price for each of these is pretty comparable. I am considering doing the grille/pillars now because the weather here is crap and racing season is over for me. My logic is that I could enjoy a good looking mod and buy spacers in the spring. If I buy spacers now I have no opportunity to enjoy the benefits... I don't race on the roads because its too dangerous (very slippery) so a go fast mod is a bit pointless right now. (not to mention I just got my headers on)

anybody with an opinion on this please share... and if anybody has pics of a sterling mist with black or chrome grilles please show your pics because I can't decide which I prefer.

thanks!

-1 for those grills and a pillars... for your 300 dollar price tag.. you can get a stillen classic front lip(200) eyelids(50) and get them painted(100) or DIY for a 1/4 of that....and have a nice facelift.... or just buy the spacers

Or if you are completely against doing performance mods in the fall/winter, as you seem to be, there are other cosmetic changes that the money could be better spent on than pillars, IMO

As happy as I am with the phenolic spacers, I'd have to say my #2 would be the solid polly ES Bushings in the Motor Mounts. Less expensive than the spacers, too.

p.s. The grills are ricey. It's very hard to apply a visual mod that isn't ricey. But that's my opinion... to each his own.

If I had the $$, I would definitely go with the spacers.

Everyone has different priorities and opinions about what looks good.

Personally, you couldn't pay me to bolt extra, non-OEM plastic on my car. So yeah, the lip is ricey. Sorry, man.

You know, I shouldn't have spouted off about visual mods that are so obviously appreciated by a majority of members. (Eyelids, front/rear lips, clear side markers... clear side markers. Never understood that either.)

Anyway, Nick created this thread to help him prioritize his projects, not to hear me validate my sense of aesthetics.

So, Zelinski, if your poll holds any sway over your decision, it looks like you're saving for some phenolic spacers.

That's a tasty choice.

Pure cosmetic mods and no performance mods. You are contradicting your statement.
