Light smoke coming from engine and smell of burning water or coolant.
Oil is fine, radiator fluid is still full but I get a little smell of coolant coming from the engine with a little white smoke, car isn't overheating at all, runs good.
However, I changed the therostat last night and didn't change the gasket that comes with it.
Don't know if that's the problem.

White smoke with Syrupy-sweet smell = coolant.
If you just changed your Thermostat, likely you got some coolant on a manifold or engine somewhere -- prob. no big deal, and it'll burn-off in no time.
Keep an eye on it, and if it gets worse or persists, you'll know you need to either tighten a connecting point, or replace a gasket.
Don't panic unless your engine bay starts spewing white smoke, or your temp gauge pegs-out on HIGH!!

Hey captain obvious, did you see her screen name? It says mandy meaning chick, so the gay smilie is irrelevant. And id say shes at least 16 considering she drives a max.
But vikas to answer your question, ive never burried my face in a puddle of stagnant fetid womb juice, so I cant answer that from experience, but i think youve found some stanky water there.

I had that problem.. You cant find it but you smell it. The radiator is leaking... so i end up changing the whole thing. collant was good but I just couldnt find where it was coming from until the presure forced itself on the top right hand on the radiator under the nissan sign. I would was the engine to see if your spilled some coolant though.

I used a different oil than I normally use, I used Penzoil High Mileage 10-30. I normally use Castrol 10-30 regular... I'm sure it doesn't matter now though.
My max has 155k miles on it, I think it's time to sell anyways.

Alright I think I know what happened. I added in brake fluid and it looks like that's the problem, some cheap fluid that's no compatible with my car.
I see no overheating, leaking or loss of power so it has to be that, I bought the radiator last year from this site as part of that special that the company was running so it can't be it.
I will be watching it.

Changing the thermostat is easy. You will need a flexible socket extension as the bolts are pretty hard to reach. Make sure you change the gasket. Might as well change the radiator hoses while you are down there. Use anti sieze on the bolts to help out next time. Make sure you use a tourque wrench to torque them properly.
