5th Gen Tech Question

I've been looking to do a 3.5 swap done to my 5.0 Gen Maxima as well as the AT to MT swap altogether. So I decided my best bet is to get a wrecked Maxi with the 3.5 MT. My question is will a 3.5 engine from a Altima SE-R, 6thGen Maxima fit the 5th gen? Are they all the same or do they vary. Any help will be thanked...

it will fit, but you will need more than that for the swap, new axles for one thing. Might need an ECU because the newer generation motor has a few more bells and whistles on it.

You won't need an ECU if you do a 3.5 swap with the 3.0 timing equipment, you can just run the 3.0 ECU. You'll also need the cam spacers for the 3.5 cams to work with the 3.0 timing equipment.

Well, Im planning on buying a wrecked maxi so anything I need I would pull it off the wrecked maxi. My question is does it have to be a 5.5 Gen Maxi or could it be the Altima Se-R 3.5 engine, or the 6th gen Maxima's 3.5? Are they all the same thing?
