Hey guys Ive been searching for a bit now and I cant seem to find a how to on cleaning your throttle body. I got remote start installed in my car recently but its having problems idling in the cold. If someone could link me to a detailed how to on cleaning the throttle body I would really appreciate it or make a detailed how to (with pictures please lol). Thanks.

If you have a '00 or '01 it's pretty simple. Remove airbox. Spray throttle body cleaner inside the TB with valve open and closed. Then wipe it clean with rag. Also, you can spray the cleaner on the rag to be safe and just wipe the inside of the TB until the rag comes out clean. Make sure to clean as much as possible on both sides of the valve and the valve itself.

It will be really grimy. Cleaning my TB helped my stalling at idle problem.

If you have a 5.5 gen (2k2/2k3) with a drive-by-wire throttle, I can't help you.

For the 3.5L 6MT: http://forums.maxima.org/6848584-post28.html Don't know about automatic, but you could try it...

Judging by your sig, it looks like you have a 5.0gen. Be extremely careful cleaning your TB. I had idling problems back in April, cleaned it out, and it didn't quite get back to normal. It ended up frying the ECM too. Check my old thread out: http://forums.maxima.org/5th-generat...-stalling.html Good luck!
