I think I'm just going to go this route since it's only $130 NEW rather than paying for someone's used axle-back with XX,000 miles on it.

Should do the trick....
I just put a Walker QuietFlow on last week. The fit was great and the muffler hangs nicely centered at the rear.
I found a nice hole on the top of the OEM muffler which I didn't realize was there because it was hidden. Much better now.

How's the sound compared to what you remember of the stock muffler?

Sounds and feels good to me. I wasn't looking for anything louder than stock. Having that hole in the old muffler get larger and larger before I replaced it I got to experience the sound of a louder system from the drivers seat and I hated it. I know the OEM muffler has that valve in it but I don't notice a diff. I'll use the money I saved on other things. I think I'll buy a bottle of GooGone and debadge it now.

Napa carries Bosal aftermarket replacement exhaust system that doesn't have a trick bypass valve in it..... Slightly louder than stock....with that said I would cut out all those smashed sections and see an increase in exhaust flow...... a really cheap mod!!!

They are relatively the same price but I know from personal experience the OEM muffler has 0 drone on highway (and I do alot of highway driving). Any opinions on the Cattman muffler? Also, I googled walker exhaust and Amazon came up with this from Walker ... http://www.amazon.com/Walker-Exhaust...tive&carId=002 ... is that the actual muffler?
I have ever buy some thing from eBay store, but the equality is not good enough, under a recommendation of a friend of mine, I bought the muffler from another store, unbelievable, it works fine, and it is not very expensive. I appreciate it.

I have the Bosal exhaust and you are correct it is slightly louder than stock in a good way. It is what the maxima should have sound like stock. Only thing is you need to put on exhaust tips to cover the ugly Bosal tips
For the money Bosal can't be beat. If I remember I paid 99.00 for the B pipe and 106.00 for the muffler.........Midas installed it for 60.00. I feel its a good deal considering a stock muffler cost about 300.00 dollars and the b pipe was 275.00........

Do the Walker Quiet Flow Muffler and Bosal Muffler have dual tips like OEM? I am considering that both but I would want the dual tips.
Thanks for any input.

Yes dual exhaust tips just like OEM but you need to buy chrome tips to dress it up.

Here is a exact pic of the one I put on my car

I would go with the Cattman Catback over the Walker Performance wise but seem you want quiet and costly for the pockets cause Cattman is like 740 dollars plus shipping so I got to start saving for it!
