Were their any changes made to the Maxima between 2000 and 2001 models?

How about between 2001 and 2002 (besides the new engine/6spd). I checked the FAQ and there isn't anything about that there. I haven't really followed 5th gens too closely so I'm not up on the details. The wife is thinking about a new car for herself so it'll have to be auto...autos can be beautiful!

between 2k and 2k1 were small differences like audio controls on steering, and maybe some other slight interior differences. Nothing major that I can think of though. 2k1 was available in the Anniversary Edition also, which included a lot of different things like a body kit, drilled pedals, extra 5 hp, etc...
Between those and 2k2, there are more interior differences, HIDs, different tail lights....

HID's

The 2k2 Maxima is so good that even Accord V6 drivers (me) want one

I'm looking into buying a newer Maxima, and i've narrowed it down to a 5th Generation Maxima. I was also wondering if there were any BIG differences between the 2000 and 2001 SE models. I really want the 2002 Maxima SE, but it cost too much for me now, plus the insurance will wreck me.
hmmm
one major difference would be the amount of miles on the tranny without updated TCM and solenoids. obviously a 2k will have more miles on it with slipping (only if it was driven hard often, so that really may not be a factor). However, just because its a 2k1, doesnt mean it didnt need a new TCM and soleniods. A pretty late 2k1 would be ok for sure as far as the tranny updates go...

I'm selling because I finally found a twin-turbo Supra for a reasonable price in my area. I love the Max but I need real power.
