I had a similar problem this afternoon. no idea what it is though

 

Why do you need a new starter? Mine have been making that noise for years. That booooowooowooo noise as soon as you let off of the key.

 

I haven't smelt it that much recently, so I'm not worried about it. Let me know if you find out anything though. I think my exhaust might be bad because I hear a rattling and vibrating noise/feel from the rear passenger side.

Because it's annoying and I miss the sound of the VQ. My moms Murano starts up and sounds like heaven, and while the Maxima's sound slightly different, it's still heaven.
