I think I'm gonna do a drive-by video at WOT cause while sparks your videos are nice, there are just to much noise to really hear just your exhaust at WOT

If you want your car to sound like the law's, you will want cattman headers/Y-pipe and 3", I believe law also has a test pipe but you can get away with a cat and still sound good.

Escort Redline.

Gonna be going for Laser Pro Park, I think. A few sneaky piggies are starting to use laser around here.

The Cattman Header's ypipe has a 2.5" collector but you could cut his off and do your own fabricating or better yet, Call Brian and do a special order for a header with a 3" ypipe collector and pay him for the modification

Cattman's headers are 2.5", OtherBrotherXperiment (OBX) collector are 2.25" but later version is 2.5"

I just got pulled over last night coming but from Royal Purple Raceway Park(Formerly aka Houston Raceway Park) watching some Pro street Mods ADRL get down.....and left a light kinda quick with a car coming up behind me (In my Hardbody P'up), so I decided to add a little acceleration and pull away from the crowd and got pulled over doing 75 in a 50 mph zone....the car coming behind me was a cop!!!! Damn haven't been pulled over for speeding in years!!!!! We talked, he checked my background and insurance and immediately let me go, apologized for pulling over and told me to be safe and have a good night!!!!! JEDI MIND TRICKS....hahahahahahaha!

maybe a dumb question, but why not jump from a 2.5" header collector to a 3" y-pipe single collector post the front bank cat, and remove the rear bank cat putting another 2.5"-3" single collector...all the while putting the rear bank 02 sensor in the same location that Cattman already has it at??

Honestly I'd rather just get a complete Cattman 3" y-pipe and 3" exhaust with a magnaflow high flow cat...but I'm just impatient for all that to be released and funds are ridiculously tight this year. If i'm gonna go through all that trouble to get a 3" matched y-pipe...I may as well at least try to make the entire thing myself with the pre-bent 'U' parts and some straight pipe...However, I've never welded stainless before . If I attempt this, and don't use stainless, header wrap and stainless ties will be used i guess.

any thoughts guys?

Nice job using "the Force" to convince the cop to let you go! The "yes sir, no sir, I won't do it again sir" thing has helped me turn a couple of "dead-to-rights" citations into "written warnings." Good thing my wife doesn't read this!

Cause you're gonna kill your gas velocity dumping the primaries into a 3" collector!! Gradually increasing the size it the key! Why not start with 3" primaries if you wanted to go big??????

Yep, the cattman 2.5" Y-pipe and 2.25" collectors is good enough for pretty much all bolt on NA vehicles. If you're doing cams or nitrous, something bigger might gain, but doubtfully with just boltons.

oooooooo! when you say primaries, do you mean the header collector size? b/c as I understand it(I may be wrong) the primaries are the header piping before the collector...and in my mind 3" primaries isn't even possible for a VQ30 and would not be good? I feel like I'm not understanding something here I do not have headers, and if I did, I'd most likely go CATTMAN b/c I love the reviews, testimonies and quality of their products.

I think headers with a 3" collector, front bank shorty high flow cat, 02 sensors mounting, then dumping into a 3" y-pipe, high flow cat(for smog HO reasons), then a matched 3" y-pipe out the a$$ with the trademarked twin tips out the rear...or maybe even a squoval tip to fit the stillen/20th lip kit! Topping it all off with a good polish and stainless nuts and bolts for install!

feedback yo?

cams would be nice..but i'd get a VQ35 first, then cam it...i've only got a VQ30, ugh!

The cattman 1 5/8" primaries and 2.25" collectors should be fine for you.

I was being sarcastic regarding the 3" primaries......But seriously the primary pipe is the portion of the header that the exhaust first enters leaving the exhaust port! Then the primaries flow together into their collector... then merge into the secondaries.....then the secondaries merge into the ypipe collector....onto the cat:
Here's an illustrations......
1. Primary piping
2. Primary collector
3. Secondary piping
4. ypipe collector

I did but it was a waste heavy *** rims 64lbs each rim, tire, and air no help there might be getting some 17s or 18s next month, clogged front cat, no help there, misfire on one or two cyclinders, no help there...said pushing like 160 170 to the wheels I was like WTF...but this Saturday switching to all new coils, new knock sensor, new rear valve cover, and all new NGK Iridium plugs and see if that kills the misfire and then lighter rims...then dyno again...
